Contract T&A
This agreement contains the entire understanding between 31:3 Photography and the Client. It supersedes all prior and simultaneous agreements between the parties. The only way to change or add to this agreement is to do so in writing, and providing the document is signed by all the relevant parties. It is understood that even with the signing of a contract and/or verbal agreement, no day is reserved without a deposit.
Pre-Wedding Consultation: To ensure your story is told with intention, we will connect prior to your wedding day to align on your vision and expectations. 31:3 Photography can provide guidance on logistics and timing, serving as a partner in your planning process. We invite you to share any timeline shifts as they happen, ensuring our coverage remains seamless and focused on what matters most.
Retainer: A non-refundable retainer fee of 50% of the chosen package is required to hold your date. The remaining balance is due one week (7 days) prior to the wedding date.
If final payment is not received, 31:3 Photography reserves the right to withhold image delivery or decline attendance.
The retainer must be paid within 3 days of signing, or the contract becomes null and void and the date will be released.
Cooperation & Helpers: To achieve the best results, we request a designated "helper" (Wedding Planner, Best Man, or Maid of Honor) to identify key individuals and organize family groups. While we use professional discretion, 31:3 Photography is not responsible for a lack of photos of guests who decline to be photographed.
Turn Around Time: Edited photos will be delivered via a private online gallery within 8-10 weeks.
RAW images are not provided as they are unfinished archives.
31:3 Photography uses professional judgment to select the best images (approximately between 400 - 800 delivered) to represent your visual legacy.
The Schedule:An itinerary of the wedding day must be given to the photographers prior to the wedding day. Our shooting schedule, style of work and experience are designed to achieve a great set of wedding photos for the Clients first and foremost. Both the Clients and 31:3Photography therefore agree that punctuality and cheerful cooperation are essential to producing outstanding results, and will work together in order to create the best timeline for photos. In cases where the wedding does not run on time, we cannot guarantee to always follow what was originally planned due to lack of time, although in such circumstances we will do our absolute best to accommodate, improvise and get the job done as expected.
Travel Expenses: If travel is required for the Photographer, the Client is responsible for all travel, lodging accommodations, and transportation expenses. Destination weddings requiring air travel, and weddings 30 miles outside of Houston incur extra cost which will be invoiced separately. 31:3 Photography will find appropriately priced flights and lodging to keep cost within reason. Travel expenses will be included as an item on the invoice and must be paid in a timely manner to ensure all appointments can be booked 3 months prior to the wedding day.
Change of Date or Venue: Photographers must be notified immediately of any changes in schedule or location, at least one week prior to the scheduled date of event. Notification of any changes can be made via phone call, text, or email for documentation. It is the Client’s responsibility to confirm all arrangements at least 7-10 days prior to the event. In the event of change of address or contact information (time, etc.) as listed, you must notify 31:3 Photography. Changing your date is subject to the availability of that date.
Exclusivity & House Rules: 31:3 Photography shall be the exclusive professional photographer retained. We request precedence over guests with phones/cameras during formal portraits to ensure no critical moments are missed.
We will adhere to all venue or officiant rules (e.g., "no flash" or restricted movement). Clients agree to accept technical limitations imposed by these rules.
Cancellation: All monies paid are forfeited upon cancellation unless caused by a documented unforeseen medical emergency (excluding travel expenses). If cancelled on the wedding date, the full balance is owed.
Copyright Law: The copyright of photographs remains with 31:3 Photographer. The images taken by the Photographer are for personal use by the Clients, friends, and relatives. Sale, publication or any commercial use of the photographs is not allowed without prior written permission from the Photographer. Clients have printing rights to all images.
Copyright & Model Release: Copyright remains with 31:3 Photography. Images are for personal use (printing/sharing). Commercial sale or publication requires written permission.
Model Release: The Client grants 31:3 Photography consent to use images for editorial, advertising, or competition purposes to showcase the brand’s portfolio.
Limit of Liability: If the primary photographer is unable to attend due to illness/injury, 31:3 Photography will book a professional replacement. If no replacement is found, liability is limited to a refund of payments received. In the unlikely event of digital file loss or damage, liability is limited to a prorated refund based on the percentage of images delivered.
